La saison 2013-2014 est lancée !

 Bonjour à tous, Me voici de retour à la maison après le premier week end de Coupe du Monde à Sölden, en Autriche. J'ai fait deux jours d'entrainement à Tignes avec la coupe du monde avant de se diriger vers Sölden pour 2 autres jours sur la fameuse piste du frigo (piste d'entrainement sur le glacier du Rettenbach). C'était ma première fois là bas et il parait que c'était une très bonne année au niveau des conditions. Ça doit vraiment pas être cool dans les mauvaises années.Il fait grand beau le jour de course et je découvre la piste et son interminable mur à la reconnaissance. David Chastan n'avait pas menti, j'entend encore ses paroles résonner: "il est long là bas le mur à Sölden".Les premiers attaquent ce mur comme si c'était du beurre, y'a plus qu'à ! Je fais un plutot bon début de manche et dans les portes les plus raides je perds un appui. Je ne récupèrerai la bonne ligne qu'en entrant sur le plat. Je finis 53ème sans avoir la sensation du devoir accompli. Tant pis, j'ai pris de l'expérience aujourd'hui en prenant mon premier départ de Coupe du Monde en géant, ce qui me donne envie de tout donner pour en prendre un deuxième.Pour la suite, c'est la reprise des stages à Tignes, en slalom cette fois pour préparer Levi le 18 novembre.A+PS: Merci aux Toussuirains et gens des Sybelles d'être venus pour me supporter. I did two days of training in Tignes with the WC team before heading to Sölden for another two days on the famous hill of the fridge (training run on the Retttenbach glacier). It was my first time over there and I was told it was in very good condition this year. It must not be cool at all in its bad years. It's a bright sunny race day and I discover the hill and its endless pitch for the first time during the inspection. David Chastan didn't lie, I can still hear his speach when we were in Tignes "the pitch in very long over there in Sölden".The first racers charge down this pitch like it's butter, I just have to put the hammer down! I ski the first part rather well and I loose grip on the steeper part. I won't recover a good line until I get into the flat. I end up 53rd with the feeling of not getting the job done. Nevermind, I gained some experience today by taking my first GS WC start, which motivates me to do everything to take another one.Next up is the return on the skis in Tignes, in slalom this time to prepare fro Levi on November 18th.See ya'PS: Big thanks to all the people from La Toussuire and Les Sybelles for coming in Sölden to support me.
