Fin de saison

 Bonjour à tous! Quelle belle saison ce fût! Faisons un aperçu rapide de la saison passée: What a beautiful season it was! Let's have a quick look over the past season:Il a énormément neigé aux Etats-Unis, avec des records de chute de neige enregistrés en Californie (il parait que Mammoth Mountain va être ouvert jusqu'au 4 juillet, fête nationale américaine!!).It snowed a lot in the US, with snowfall records in California (I've heard that Mammoth Mountain is going to be open until the 4th of July, USA national day).Mon investissement financier et les sacrifices scolaires pour faire le circuit Coupe Nor-Am a payé. Je décroche 2 victoires en slalom, une à Val-Saint-Côme, au Québec, et une lors des finales à Whistler Mountain au Canada (ci-dessous).My financial investment and the sacrifices on classroom time to participate in the Nor-Am Cup circuit paid off. I clinched two victories in slalom, one in Val-Saint-Côme, Québec, and one during the finals in Whistler Mountain, Canada (below).J'ai Gagné 5 courses FIS et fait 5 podiums.I won 5 FIS races and did 5 podiums.Podium Slalom Universitaire Park City, janvier 2011Podium FIS géant Winter Park, Colorado, Décembre 2010Une expérience formidable en Turquie avec une sélection aux mondiaux universitaires à Erzurum. Les résultats n'ont pas été au rendez-vous avec deux chutes en Slalom et Géant et des résultats moyen en super-G et super-combiné. Malgré tout, je voudrais remercier le coach Loïc Le Quellec, les athlètes de la délégation française, patineurs, fondeurs, snowboarders, skicrossers et alpins. Une pensée spéciale pour Jean-Luc Galavielle, coach alpin avec Loïc, qui nous a quitté trop tôt ce printemps. Je retiendrai sa bonne humeur permanente et son sourire innefaçable. A terrific experience in Turkey with a selection for the world university games in Erzurum. The results didn't match my expectations with two DNFs in slalom and GS and mediocre results in super-g and super combined. Though, I would like to thank the alpine coach Loïc Le Quellec, the athletes from the French delegation, figure skaters, nordic skiers, snowboarders and alpiners. I want to have a special tought for Jean-Luc Galavielle, alpine coach with Loïc, who left us too early this spring. I will always remember his permanent cheerfulness.Les Alpins américains et en noir Richard, mon coach de BoulderLe challenge des moniteurs a été un moment majeur de ma saison avec une super ambiance et le plaisir de revenir en France, de skier pour mon massif: Les Sybelles, les retrouvailles avec les potes "de l'époque" et une belle 2eme place au final.The challenge des moniteurs was a major moment of my season with a great atmosphere and the pleasure to be back in France, to ski for my mountain: les Sybelles, the reunion with some friends from back in the day and a beautiful 2nd place at last.L'ambiance qui envoie du gros! Merci aux supporters des Sybelles!!Et pour finir, un moment qui m'a beaucoup marqué et qui récompense 3 années d'entrainements, de réveils (très) matinal, de vie en groupe fantastique: le titre de champion national universitaire par équipe décroché à Stowe, Vermont, avec mon équipe de l'université de Boulder. Autant on est plus connu aux Etats-Unis pour un tel titre, autant une victoire en Nor-Am passe plus inaperçue, l'inverse est vrai en France. Ceci est dû à l'importance et la médiatisation du sport universitaire pour les américains. En tout cas, ce titre restera pour moi un grand moment dans ma carrière, car c'est un travail d'équipe, l'addition de résultats individuels alpins+fondeurs et la peur permanente de ne pas arriver en bas et de faire perdre l'équipe.Finally, a moment that will stay in memory forever and that rewarded three years of training, (very) early morning wake up calls, fantastic group life: the national championship title clinched in Stowed, Vermont, with my team from the University of Colorado at Boulder. When one is well recognized for such a title in the US, a victory in Nor-Am Cup is practically unnoticed, in France, the opposite is true. This is due to the importance and the mediatisation of college sports for the Americans. Anyway, this title will remain for me a great moment in my carreer, because it is a team result, the addition of individual results alpiners+nordics and the fear of not making it to the finish, causing the loss of the title for the team.Calendrier de la saison universitaire 2011-12
